Excavator Coupler Explained: Werk-Brau SLQT Dedicated Mechanical Coupler Features & Benefits

Written by Werk-Brau Training Academy | Sep 18, 2026, 4:25:54 PM

The Werk-Brau SLQT Coupler is a simple, safe, dedicated mechanical coupler built for fleets running a single OEM pin spec. You get consistent pin grab performance plus the ability to flip the bucket for reverse dig or shovel position. This coupler is tooled to a specific OEM — the example in the video is the CX42 bucket.

If you run a different OEM fleet, you can have the bottom built to that pin specification and keep your current attachments when you add new iron. If you need one coupler to run multiple pin centers across different OEM attachments, this dedicated coupler is not the right fit and a variable hydraulic pin grabber will serve you better.

Hey, guys. What's going on? It's Tyler here from Werk-Brau Attachments. Today we're out in Depere, Wisconsin. We're hanging out with our friends from Miller Bradford and what we're going to be going over today is our mechanical coupler.

Werk-Brau SLQT Coupler, it's one of the most simplistic, and safest couplers, pin grabbers, in the market. A major benefit of this coupler: It actually allows you to also flip the bucket around if you want to use it in reverse dig or shovel position, you have the ability to do that.

This coupler is a dedicated coupler,  so it's not a hydraulic pin grabber,  variable center to center pin grabber coupler. What that means is it's dedicated. It's designed to only accept a specific OEM attachment.

So this coupler here is tooled up to pick up the CX42 bucket. However, if you have a fleet of other OEM attachments, for example, Kobelco, no problem. We do have the ability to customize, and build these couplers to a different bottom to accept a different OEM pin specification. So, if you got an opportunity or maybe you're interested in buying a new piece of equipment and you don't want to change your attachments out, go ahead and reach out to your regional sales manager or contact our inside team.

We'd be glad to get you more information on that. Thanks again for tuning in, and we'll catch you next time.
